2 men docked for alleged theft of electrical wires

Okunade said that the accused persons stole a bundle of cable wire, cartons of junction box valued at N75,000, property of Oyewole Funke.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Johnson Okunade, said that the defendants of no fixed addresses committed the offence sometimes in September, 2017 at new Omisanjana Area in Ado-Ekiti.

The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

The defendants pleaded not guilty and their counsel, Mr Babatunde Falade, and Mr Busuyi Ayorinde, urged the court to grant them bail.

The Magistrate, Mrs Modupe Afeniforo, granted bail to the accused persons in the sum of N50,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case until Sept. 29 for hearing.
