Senator says Chibok girls are still alive

Over 200 girls were kidnapped at night on April 14, 2014 at the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.

This is contrary to a statement by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who said “Anyone saying they (Chibok girls) will return is telling lies, maybe some of them will return to tell their story.”

The Senator said “I believe that the Chibok girls are alive and they can be found alive.

“As far as I am concern, we should continue to explore the dialogue option for getting the Chibok girls out.

“Dialogue should continue not for anything but for getting the Chibok girls out of captivity.”

Adding that “the insurgents group would have come openly to declare that they have killed them.

“But, they are alive and I believe they are alive. I believe that the Chibok Girls would come back home some day.”

Senator Shehu Sani was reportedly suspended by the Tudun Wada ward of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
