‘Cattle thieves deserve to be executed,’ Emir says

The Emir made the comment on Sunday, October 18, 2015, following the arrest of 72 suspected cattle rustlers in Falgore forest in the Tudun Wada Local Government Area of the state.

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has said that cattle rustlers deserve to be executed for their many crimes against humanity.

"These people are supposed to be executed in accordance with Islamic laws because they have killed, raped and robbed people of their cattle and their valuable Items. I therefore call on the police to do the right thing in accordance with the law,” he said

He also advised the government to provide grazing reserves for the Fulanis in order to put an end to cattle rustling and constant clashes between herdsmen and farmers.
