EFCC declares former Adamawa governor wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared the former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako wanted.

The troubles of the impeached former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, is increasing by the day as he has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The anti-graft agency, in a release by the Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, Nyako, a retired Naval Officer, is wanted for multiple criminal conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office, money laundering and embezzlement.

The EFCC therefore urges the general public to be on the lookout for the man and if seen, should be reported to any of its offices natonwide.

The embattled Murtala Nyako was removed from office in November, 2014, by a 7-member investigative panel which was set up probe him over allegations of sundry crimes.

The panel indicted him of gross misconduct and financial impropriety and he was impeached.
