Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed resumes office

APC's National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed has resumed office as the new Minister of Information and Culture.

President Muhammadu Buhari's 36 ministers were sworn-in on Wednesday November 11, 2015, at a ceremony which held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Mohammed today, Thursday, November 12 resumed office as the Minister of Information and Culture.

He was received by the Directors of the Ministry led by the outgoing Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mrs. Folasade Yemi-Esan with the new Permanent Secretary, Ayounde Adesugba.

Mohammed has revealed that he will be bringing incorruptibility and service to the Information and Culture minstry.

“I am determined to make a great impact in the area of communications. All the satellite stations come under the communications, there are areas that Nigerians are passionate about," he said just minutes after he was sworn-in.

“I will ensure that we get all the monies for the ministry.”

Speaking also on the portfolio, Lai Mohammed said: “I think we just need to redouble our efforts. As a minister of information, you are a minister of information for the whole country."

“I think Nigeria needs timely information. The people have the right to know what is going on and to use them as a platform to get back to the government."
