13-yr-old female suicide bomber attacks mosque

The attack is said to have occurred at about 9:11pm on Monday, July 6, 2015, after night prayers were concluded.

A 13-year-old suicide bomber has blown herself up near Umar Bin Khattab mosque in Kano State.

The girl apparently failed in her mission as she is said to be the only casualty of the attack.

The incident has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Musa Magaji Majia.

“She was trying to cross over to the mosque, but she was stopped said. She immediately detonated the bomb and died immediately,” Majia said.

The latest attack comes after twin bombings in Jos, Plateau State which left 44 people dead and a previous attack in Yobe which killed 5 people
