Those killing people are foreign terrorists - Sultan of Sokoto

The revered monarch made the revelation while delivering his Eid el-Kabir message to Muslims across Nigeria.

The Sultan also said they are foreigners who have come into Nigeria to cause trouble and create instability.

Adding that “They are therefore terrorists and should be treated as such by the Nigerian security agencies.

“The Nigerian herdsmen are very peace-loving and law abiding.”

The revered monarch made the revelation while delivering his Eid el-Kabir message to Muslims across Nigeria.

The Sultan also  called on security agencies to be proactive, adding that Nigerians are peace loving people.

He said though the Fulani herdsmen and farmers still have some mis-understanding, the issue will soon be resolved.

Some of the dignitaries present at the event were ex-President Shehu Shagari, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal, his deputy, Ahmed Aliyu, and Aliko Dangote.

Sa’ad Abubakar III  is also the President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
