'Buhari didn't expel DSS personnel' - Presidential aide says

It noted that an exercise, which involves the realignment of personnel from various services, is ongoing but does not translate to personnel's expulsion.

The Presidency has denied speculations that personnel of the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS) have been expelled from the Presidential Villa.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, June 24, by President Muhammadu Buhari's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, there is truly a shake up going amongst Villa security personnel, but the President did not order anybody's expulsion.

"President Muhammadu Buhari has given no such order,’’ the statement said.

It noted that an exercise, which involves the realignment of personnel from various services, is ongoing, stressing that it does not translate to the expulsion of DSS personnel from the villa.

"The changes being made are routine adjustments which are not unexpected in any dynamic environment from time to time,’’ it added.
