According to Punch, they also hailed the commencement of work on the Maritime University in Okerenkoko, Delta State.

2018 budget proposal
Abiodun Adesanya, the President, Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), has called on the Federal Government to check activities of militants to achieve the 2018 budget revenue target.
Adesanya also said that the most critical aspect would be for government to maintain continuous dialogue with the militants.
Meanwhile, the managing editor of Financial Nigeria Magazine, Jide Akintunde has described the 2018 budget estimate as grossly unrealistic.
