According to investigations, Jacobs had to miss the Dokpesi's hearing in Abuja to enable him tackle the advocates of ex-NSA, Sambo Dasuki who were praying the court to stop his trial.

Jacob had prayed the court to dismiss the appeal for lacking in merit because the appellant had misdirected the appeal by listing EFCC as the only respondent to the matter.
