President to visit France today, September 14

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to visit France today, September 14, 2015, for talk with French counterpart, Francois Hollande.

Buhari is expected to spend three days in the French capital, Paris, after being invited by Hollande.

The Nigerian President will also hold talks with Defence Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius and other senior government figures, according to a statement released by media aide, Femi Adesina.

According to the statement, the trip “will focus on the further strengthening and consolidation of ongoing bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and France in the areas of defence, security, trade and investments.”

Hollande has repeatedly promised Nigeria his country’s support for the war against Boko Haram.
