President Muhammadu Buhari, on December 1, 2015, returned to Nigeria from Paris.

Buhari had visited the French capital to attend the Conference of Parties 21 (COP21) on climate change along with 150 other world leaders.

He had earlier also visited Malta to attend the 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government summit.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians, including Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, have criticized the president over his frequent travels.

Buhari’s aide, Garba Shehu, however rose to his boss’ defence saying that the president's foreign trips are for the country’s good and not for his personal enjoyment
