Following a security issue raised by the United States Embassy, over the security situation in the seaport, the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), has issued a security alert.
NSA warns of imminent attack on Lagos Port
Subsequently, men of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), have doubled security in the port.

Vanguard Newspapers reports that the security alert was signed by the Assistant Comptroller General of Customs in charge of Enforcement and Intelligence, Mr. Dan Ugo.
Subsequently, men of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), have doubled security in the port.
Reports say everyone is subjected to a thorough security check.
