The teen sensation behind the viral hit 'Hot Nigga' has called out his record label for not paying his bail money, $2m. The rapper is still in prison because the bail application was pulled away the last minute.
"When I got locked up, I thought they were going to come for me, but they never came" said the rapper to New York Times.
"I’m going to try my best to go back on the deal. If not, I’ll give them their music and bounce” he further said. The rapper went on to further claim that Epic signed him at a time when he was desperate to leave his rough neighbourhood. "...grabbed me up at a vulnerable time … I was desperate to get out of the ’hood. I knew I was going to lose my life or go to jail" he stated.
Rap star 50 Cent has echoed Bobby's claims that he is not getting support from his imprint. "You know what I’d really like to see? That check from Epic,” Why they didn’t get Bobby out? Why they didn’t bail Bobby out? They got money on the man why they didn’t bail him out?” said the G-Unit boss.
Bobby Shmurda's lawyer has come out to speak on the situation. "I understand from a corporate standpoint that companies cannot put themselves in a position where it appears they’re supporting and condoning criminal activity. But he hasn’t been found guilty of anything yet" said the lawyer.
