Ishaya Bako, Chigurl talk difference between movie and past projects

At a press conference held before the undefinedBako, and Chigurl spoke on the goal of movie, and what makes it different from past projects.

"It's my first feature film. Primarily I have worked on non fiction documentaries and short films. So, yes, "Road to Yesterday" is like my first big commercial project. "

"It's not a regular Nigerian film. I think a lot of people will be surprised, especially at how it ends.

"Just when you think you have it covered, something will happen and you will be like "Oh no."

'Road to Yesterday' stars Nigerian-British actor, Oris Erhuerho as ‘Izu’ the burly husband and father, and Genevieve Nnaji as ‘Victoria’ the conflicted wife and mother.

Synopsis.

Set in Lagos Nigeria, Road to Yesterday is an epic love story, about a couple desperate to mend its marriage on a road trip to a relative’s funeral.

However when memories and secrets from the past are revealed, a lot more is at stake than their relationship.

'Road to Yesterday' is produced by Nnaji alongsideChinny Onwugbenu and Chichi Nwoko.

Directed by Ishaya Bako, Story is by Genevieve Nnaji, who also serves as executive producer alongside Chinny Onwugbenu.
