During a press conference for the movie, "Road to Yesterday" Ishaya Bako and Chigurl spoke on the goal of movie "Road to Yesterday," and what makes it different from past projects.
"Road to Yesterday," a film by Ishaya Bako, and produced by Genevieve Nnaji, made its debut in Nigeria cinemas today, Friday, November 27, 2015.
At a press conference held before the world premiere of movie on Friday, November 13, 2015, Bako, and Chigurl spoke on the goal of movie, and what makes it different from past projects.
Ishaya on what makes project different;
"It's my first feature film. Primarily I have worked on non fiction documentaries and short films. So, yes, "Road to Yesterday" is like my first big commercial project. "
Chigurl on goal of "Road to Yesterday;"
"It's not a regular Nigerian film. I think a lot of people will be surprised, especially at how it ends.
"Just when you think you have it covered, something will happen and you will be like "Oh no."
'Road to Yesterday' stars Nigerian-British actor, Oris Erhuerho as ‘Izu’ the burly husband and father, and Genevieve Nnaji as ‘Victoria’ the conflicted wife and mother.
Set in Lagos Nigeria, Road to Yesterday is an epic love story, about a couple desperate to mend its marriage on a road trip to a relative’s funeral.
However when memories and secrets from the past are revealed, a lot more is at stake than their relationship.
'Road to Yesterday' is produced by Nnaji alongside Chinny Onwugbenu and Chichi Nwoko.
Directed by Ishaya Bako, Story is by Genevieve Nnaji, who also serves as executive producer alongside Chinny Onwugbenu.
