The closing Gala which held at Ultima studios, was hosted by Bolanle Olukanni and Joseph Benjamin.

The hosts kept everyone on the edge of their seats as they made ‘exaggerated effort’ to open the envelopes containing the results.

Just before the announcement of the winner, there was a performance by the Academy voice coach- Ms. Ige, choreography by Lovette Otegbola, and the finalists, who repeated some of their best performances of the season, as decided by the viewers.

Also adding colour to the evening was Adekunle Gold’s performance. He graced the stage to thrill everyone with his hit song ‘Ariwo ko’.

Even though there was one crowned winner, none of the six finalists went home empty handed. Winner, who took the sixth spot, went home with N500,000. Dapo, who took the fifth spot, went home with N1 Million. Pere, who took the fourth spot, went home with N2 Million. Kitay, who took the third spot, went home with N2 Million and a mid-size saloon car.

Elizabeth, who emerged as the first runner-up, went home with N3 Million and a brand new saloon car.

The winner of Project Fame West Africa Season 9, Okiemute, won 5 million naira, a brand new SUV, and a recording contract worth millions of Naira.
