She was a Hollywood sweetheart who went too soon but will this film bring her act back?
Late Hollywood Actress Brittany Murphy's last film "Something Wicked" will hit the screens on April 4 in Eugene, US, where it was shot.
The movie's premier comes four years after the actress' death. The 8 Mile actress passed away in December 2009 from pneumonia, anaemia and multiple drug intoxication. She was 32.
Shockingly, just five months later her husband Simon Monjack also died under similar circumstances, with the cause of death officially ruled as acute pneumonia and severe anaemia.
"Something Wicked" is produced by Joe Colleran and is a psychological thriller about a young couple embarking on their honeymoon against their parents' wish. When the parents are tragically taken in an auto accident, gruesome secrets from the couple's past come back to haunt them and ensure the couple does not live happily ever after.
In the film, Murphy plays a psychiatrist who observes the couple's deteriorating relationship and sets out to determine what sinister forces are driving the madness.
"I would describe Brittany's performance as the most chilling performance of her career," says producer Colleran.
The movie will expand to Portland and Seattle a week later, according to reports.
