The exercise is an initiative of the Fashola administration with the mission and vision to identify and register all residents of Lagos State for efficient planning and allocation of resources and to establish an accurate, reliable and updateable database of all Lagos State Residents.

The Lagos State Resident Registration Exercise for celebrities which took place on the 4th of June had lots of celebrities gracing the event. The exercise had the likes of Jide Kosoko, Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw , Adebayo Salami, Bimbo Akintola, Yemi Solade, Kunle Afod, Yemi Sodimu in attendance.
