From the moment they met, it was obvious the two had chemistry and would develop feelings for each other. The writers made sure the sexual tension gets initiated and felt by viewers.
From an intense cave tour, to hand holding scene, the duo have shared several meaningful intense moments.
The problem with this sexual tension that has brewed throughout this season is - Jon and Dany are related.
They don't know this yet, but, viewers were let in on this mystery in season six finale. Jon Snow isn't Ned Stark's bastard, but Lyanna Stark's son with Rhaegar Targaryen. He is technically Dany's nephew.
However, knowledge of their parentage hasn't stopped fans from shipping a relationship between the two.
In the real world, incest is an abominable act. But Westeros isn't the real world and these people aren't real people.
Incest has always been a part of "Game of Thrones". The Targaryens married themselves in order to keep their bloodline pure - Daenerys and Rhaegar's parents and grandparents were siblings.
There's also Tywin Lannister, who married his first cousin. Let's not forget Cersei and Jaimie, who have had a brother-sister sexual relationship since the show made its debut.
In episode 6, "Beyond the Wall," an injured Jon Snow pledged his allegiance to Dany, calling her "my queen." It was an emotional scene, one that strongly foreshadows a sexual relationship between the two.
If the charged moments between the two isn't enough to convince you that a Jon and Dany romance is underway, then the hints from the cast and crew should.
"She sees his interaction with her dragons and it's an attractive quality for her," Clarke recently said in an interview while talking about the Jon and Drogon moment in episode 5.
The executive producer of the show already agreed that the tension between the two is more than political. "There's conflict between powerful people," he said after episode four.
"And then to make it all even more complicated, they're starting to be attracted to each other," he added.
Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, also dropped hints, while speaking about their first meeting.
"He walks into the room and doesn't expect to see such a beautiful young woman of similar age to him,” Harington said in an interview with EW.
“Any young man's reaction is going to be, 'Okay...' but he puts that aside, because he has to."
Their attraction to each other is also clear to everyone around them. Davos commented on the way Jon looks at Dany, while the wise Tyrion Lannister blatantly told Dany that Jon is in love with her.
They have known each other for just four episodes. Unlike their earlier relationships with Drogo and Ygritte, Jon and Dany have shared few scenes that focused mainly on Dany demanding that Jon bends the knee, and Jon trying to convince her that the White Walkers exist.
They learn about each other mostly through Tyrion, who has a relationship with both Jon and Dany.
Yet, in such short period, they have created a palpable chemistry that has the world rooting for incest.
The writers have also subtly convinced the same viewers, who thought and still think a relationship between Cersei and Jaime is disgusting, to root for Jon Snow and Dany.
Of course, not everyone is shamelessly rooting for this union. There are still fans that find the thought of a sexual relationship between Jon and Dany gross.
But, It doesn't matter what they want, Dany and Jon are hooking up soon.
Of all the sexual encounters on "Game of Thrones," none is as anticipated as that of these characters.
Shout out to "Game of Thrones," the only show that has the world rooting for something as icky as incest sex.
