The 10-episode first season will be written by Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover.
The untitled series will make its debut in 2018, and will be executive produced by Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
“How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth,” Loeb said.

“Deadpool,” which premiered in February 2016, was a box office success and already has a sequel in the works.
The movie grossed over $800 million off of a $58 million budget.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, the movie features Ryan Reynolds as a disfigured and unstable mercenary, Wade Wilson, who was subjected to an experiment that had hoped to cure his cancer by receiving a regenerative healing factor, but instead ended in a disastrous result.
Donald Glover who is popular for the 2016 breakout series, "Atlanta," is already part of the Marvel family as he will star in the upcoming "Spider-Man: Homecoming."
No voice actors have been announced for the animated series.
