35 Nigerians selected for filmmaker's ‘Story story’ masterclass

The project facilitators received hundreds of applications from across the country for this storytelling workshop.

Ihidero has also been a newspaper columnist for 10 years, writing for The Guardian, NET and TNS.

35 participants have been chosen to be part of undefinedseries. After a four weeks screening, the list of participants was made public today.

“We always knew that there was a need for capacity building in storytelling but it was nonetheless intriguing to see that the workshop was three times oversubscribed", said founder and lead facilitator Chris Ihidero.

"I think we are on to something here and it will be a real pleasure to engage these participants over the course of the next three days”, he added.

‘Story Story’ seeks to train attendants in story telling.

The selected participants are from several creative industries including blogging, filmmaking, media, poetry, photography, public relations, writing, and marketing.

This is the inaugural edition of Ihidero’s workshop. According to the filmmaker there are plans to take it across Nigeria.

The ‘Story story’ masterclass will feature a faculty of creative professionals including PR expert, Ayeni Adekunle Samuel, producer, Emmanuel Uduma, journalist Jahman Anikulapo, TV producer, Nkiru Njoku, advertising guru, Steve Babaeko, producer Tope Oshin and award-winning writer Toni Kan.
