Hanson who had apparently been watching the halftime performance of the 2016 Super Bowl 50, had tweeted during Coldplay's performance that Maroon 5 had taken the stage.
Of course fans had been quick to point out her mistake, but as soon as the star had noticed that the Halftime show headliner had read Coldplay, she had quickly deleted her first tweet, replacing it with:
“Oooooooopppps. Lmao! #Superbowl50.”
Speaking on her mix-up, Hanson said:
“So, I don’t know if you know how it goes down in the suites.
“They put a lot of drinks in there — Kool-Aid, lemonade, iced tea. I mixed it all, and I sat there, and I’m sitting with people who drank the Kool-Aid as well.”
The actress went on to add that her friends had insisted that the California-based band Maroon 5 were the ones on stage and not British group, Coldplay.
“Everyone’s talking about Maroon 5, and I put it down.
“And I’m like, ‘That’s not Maroon 5, right?’ And they’re like, ‘No, that’s Maroon 5!’ and I’m like, ‘Are you sure?’”
As soon as the initial post had garnered enough attention to start making headlines, Henson revealed that her friends had immediately started asking her to take it down.
“Everybody texted me ‘Change your post! Change your post.
“I thought they were mad because I didn’t give all my eyes to Beyoncé, and I’m like ‘The Beyoncé post is coming!’ Then I realized it was Coldplay.”
The embarrassed actress had not let her mistake spoil her fun as she went on to enjoy the show, explaining that she was human.
“I’m human. I made a mistake. It happens!” she said. “Come on, I drank the Kool-Aid!”
