We take a look at five celebrities who have given us health scares but bounced back.

In some cases, these celebrities don't make it, as they either pass on due to lack of funds for surgical operations or they become too weak to even recuperate. We take a look at five celebrities who have given us health scares but bounced back.

1. Banky W

When Banky W posted photos of himself recuperating in the hospital from a surgery just a few weeks to his wedding in 2017, it got a lot of fans and admirers worried. Some weren't even aware that that wasn't his first time of getting a skin cancer surgery. Well, according to the singer and actor, he pulled through and it was a successful surgery. Weeks after the surgery, Banky W got married to his wife and actress, Adesua Etomi in a very colourful wedding.

2. Julius Agwu

Julius Agwu is known to be one of the veteran comedians in Nigeria with his spontaneous talent. However, Julius Agwu underwent a successful surgery to remove lumps in his brain in 2016. He, however, suffered a relapse and had to go back to Houston, Texas for another operation which this time was very successful.

3. Vast (Bracket)

The group Bracket made the airwaves between 2009 and 2010 with hit songs upon hit songs. But in 2013, a member of the singing duo (Bracket), Vast was diagnosed with cancer after the group's tour to Australia. He had to be taken to London for treatment. The ailment kept him away from the music scene for over a year.

4. Ngozi Nwosu

In 2013, popular actress, Ngozi Nwosu was flown out of the country to the UK to receive treatment over a kidney related disease. It was reported that the Lagos state government assisted the famous 'Fuji House Of Commotion' actress with the better part of money used for her operation. The operation was however very successful as the chubby actress has returned back to mainstream acting.

5. Sadiq Daba

Sadiq Daba is the newest member of this list as the veteran actor, and broadcaster was diagnosed with leukaemia which really deteriorated his health. Appeals were made for Nigerians to assist the actor get back to his fit by flying to the UK for treatment. After much plea, respite came for Sadiq Daba as he was flown to the UK where he received treatment and is back in the country.
