Fans close streets down with emotional 'Purple Rain' sing along
Mourners gathered in downtown Minneapolis on Thursday night as a form of final rites, a payment of homage to the life and times of the highly talented artiste.

It was bound to be a night of overflowing emotions for the fans who were obviously saddened that they would never again get to hear the multi-instrumentalist belt out some of his most popular tunes.
The emotions reached a crescendo when Prince's signature anthem 'Purple Rain' came blaring out of speakers, and the crowd of several hundred people sang along to the timeless song... "Y'know what I'm singing about up here ... C'mon raise your hand!"
