Gospel singer says she is expecting a political appointment

KSB who entered politics last year says she is willing to serve in the present Lagos administration.

Gospel act, Kenny Saint Brown who launched her political career last year with the All Progressive Congress has revealed she is expecting to receive an appointment in this political dispensation.

Speaking to NET she said is looking forward to serve in this present adminstration. "I will be stupid to say I am not expecting an appointment. I will be the most miserable and most foolish not to anticipate that I can be called upon to serve. You call it an appointment, I call it calling to serve" she said.

Kenny Saint Brown contested the primary elections of the All Progressive Congress for the Lagos State House of Assembly (Ikeja Constituency 1) but was defeated. Not deterred she still has plans to work with this Lagos administration. "I look forward to serving. Although the initial plan was to get into the legislative arm where laws are made but at the executive arm, that’s where things get done, that’s where the changes are done. So if some of us couldn't get into the House of Assembly, we are still willing to work. There are several things we said during campaigns that we will be willing to see get done especially as regards the little attention being paid to Nigerian youths and women."

Last December, KSB said her mandate was stolen during the primaries. She hoped to clinch the ticket to represent Ikeja 1 State Constituency in the House. She believed she was the best candidate at the primaries but that the leadership of the party wanted Mohammed to get the ticket and they worked against her.

Speaking to Encomium Magazine, Best said though she lost, it was not because she was not the best but that the party wanted to compensate the spokes person of the party by giving the position to his son.
