A former rapper by the name of Deso Dogg (Denis Cuspert) has been identified as a member of the terrorist group Islamic State group (ISIS) by the US State Department on Monday, February 9, 2015.

The rap act joined ISIS three years ago, and has appeared in several of the group's videos.

Denis Cuspert became a part of ISIS in 20102. He has been seen in a number of ISIS videos including one of a beheading last November.
The German is said to have sworn an oath to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, and offered himself as "a willing pitchman" for crimes.
Deso Dogg has helped in recruitment of German speakers to ISIS.

Prior to joining the terrorist organization, Deso Dogg had been convicted of committing unspecified crimes in Germany, and was already on the United Nations' terrorist blacklist.
