Check out 2014 most googled celebs in Nigeria

As the year 2014 gradually winds down, Google has released the most searched items in Nigeria.

In the Nigerian charts, late celebrities and popular figures are prominent in the top searched people of the year.  Late internationally known Pastor, Dr. Myles Munroe, is the most searched persons in Nigeria, with other late celebrities, Kefee, Dora Akunyili, Joan Rivers, Robin Williams and Chaz B coming second, third and fourth, sixth and tenth respectively on the list.

Manchester United FC players, Juan Mata and AngelDi Maria also feature on the list.  Juan Mata comes fifth apparently because of his high profile transfer from Chelsea FC in January, while Di Maria’s man of the match performance for Real Madrid at the 2014 UEFA Champions League final against Atletico Madrid and his subsequent transfer from Real Madrid  FC gave him a lot of hits on Google.

Nigerian German based blogger, Stella Dimoko, comes eighth on the chart, while American actor Will Smith comes ninth.

On a different chart, most searches on Nigerian Google, has another blogger, Linda Ikeji, as number one, while Whatsapp, Nigerian Newspaper, Arsenal News, and News, make up the first five.

Livescores, Chelsea News, goal, and Google Translate, make up the last five.
