Funke's brilliant performance in the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored drama series won her so many roles in Nollywood movies rendered in Yoruba - one of which is Jenifa, which was written and produced by Funke Akindele.
The beautiful wife of rapper and producer Abdul Bello aka JJC, became the toast of producers after Jenifa became a monster hit with the Return of Jenifa.
Funke has since turned the movie into a weekly drama series running on over 10 TV stations across Nigeria and other parts of Africa.
