Pop star gets verified on Instagram, plans to give away N1m

Super star act Davido has had his Instagram account verified.

His account was verified yesterday, September 21. In August, Davido became the first Nigerian celebrity to hit one million followers on the photo/video sharing app.

The HKN act who is preparing to drop his second album released a new single yesterday called '. To promote his latest song, Davido has announced that he will be giving one million Naira away. He revealed this on Twitter yesterday.

Davido and his brother visited their father's university in Ede, Osun state early this month.

The name of the university is Adeleke University and it is still under construction. Davido and his brother Adewale Adeleke (who is the Chairman of the HKN record label) visited the university and noticed the progress going on in the site.

Adewale Adeleke wrote on the impact the University has had on the community so far. "Came to my Village this weekend and witnessed something amazing!
