Scottish singer-songwriter, political activist and philanthropist Annie Lennox is giving Beyonce a serious run for her usually vigourous stage performances.
Singer Slammed For 'Twerking'
Top Scottish singer Annie Lennox claims Beyonce is bad influence to the youths especially the females
The award winning artiste says Beyonce is not the feminist she claims to be because her sexual performances and distasteful musical 'lyrics' are bad for her young audience.
In a recent interview, Lennox elaborated on her prior comments about Beyonce not being a feminist saying:"Listen, twerking is not feminism. ... It's not - it's not liberating, it's not empowering. It's a sexual thing that you're doing on a stage; it doesn't empower you. That's my feelings about it. ... The reason why I've commented is because I think this overt sexuality thrust - literally - at particular audiences, when often performers have a very, very young audience ... I find it disturbing and think it's exploitative. It's troubling. I'm coming from a perspective of a woman that's had children."
Now she says, “maybe this is a good thing because it creates debate."Do you think Lennox has a point?
