Singer gets set to perform at UEFA Champions League final

Keys is to become the first singer to play live at the opening ceremony of the Champions League Final.

The final is set to take place in Italy at Milan's Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, to television audiences in over 220 countries.

Keys is looking forward to the prestigious football event with much excitement. She explained that Italy is like a second home to her.

"My mother's family is from Italy, so whenever I go, I always feel the most loved," she said.

"I feel like it's a homecoming of love in a lot of ways."

The European football body, UEFA, also shared their thought on the magnificence of having Keys perform at the show.

According to it, the event will "merge the worlds of world-class music, entertainment and sports, as well as celebrate design and fashion as a nod to the host city, Milan".

Alicia Keys also agrees with this.

Commenting further concerning the event, she said, "This is going to be a powerful moment in history and one that represents the spirit of all the similarities we share no matter where we live and who we are,"

"I'm honoured to be a special part of such a beloved experience."

According to the BBC, Keys will be dishing some of her new music at the event, which is one of the most watched football competition in the world.
