UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has called on Togo nationals to recommit themselves to ensuring a peaceful Presidential election on Saturday.

Ki-Moon stated this in New York on Friday, April 24. He specifically called on all political leaders and their supporters to resolve any disputes that might arise from the electoral process through constitutional and peaceful means.
“It should also reflect the will of the people,” he said.
The Secretary-General reiterated the commitment of the UN to support the electoral process and the efforts of the Togolese to strengthen democratic order in their country.
