Rwanda's year-on-year inflation eased to 4.5 percent in December from 4.8 percent in the previous month, its statistics office said on Sunday.

The annual average rate between December 2015 and December 2014 was 2.5 percent, it added.

The urban rate of inflation was -0.5 percent on a monthly basis, the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda said on its website.
