Company’s App Store will be closed to developers by December ending

This year, Apple's App Store will be closed from Monday, December 22 through Monday, December 29, 2014.

Apple gives its application reviewers a break for the holidays every year, closing the App Store to new submissions or updates for a week at the end of December.

This year, Apple's App Store will be closed from Monday, December 22 through Monday, December 29, 2014. During this period, iTunes Connect, Application Loader and iTunes Connect for iOS will be unavailable.

In an email to developers, Apple explains the closure of the App Store:

"During this time, you will not be able to submit new apps, app updates, or In-App Purchases. You also will not be able to access iTunes Connect or make changes to TestFlight Beta Testing. You can schedule an app release or price changes to take place between December 22 and December 29. Just make sure that your changes are scheduled, submitted, and approved by December 18, to ensure your app remains available during this busy period.

"Users who are currently testing or invited to test your pre-release apps with TestFlight Beta Testing will not be affected."

Apple however, notes that sales and trends reports will be available during the closure through the Autoingestion tool.

Historically, Christmas Day on December 25th has been one of the busiest days of the year for new app downloads, because people receive new gadgets like tablets and smartphones as gifts.
