APC says more PDP senators will defect to ruling party

The APC said the PDP should expect more of its Senators to pitch their tent with the ruling party.

John Odigie Oyegun

All the three PDP Senators representing Ondo State at the National Assembly have dumped the party for the APC.

The latest to defect to the APC is Mr. Yele Omogunwa of Ondo South.

Omogunwa formally announced his defection in a letter on Wednesday, November 30.

This generated commotion at the Senate, with the Minority Leader of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, asking that the Ondo South’s seat be declared vacant.

But the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, however, ruled Akpabio out of order.

In a twitter post on Wednesday, the APC begged other PDP senators to join the party.
