Party replaces Olisa Metuh, names Adeyeye as new spokesman

The portfolios assigned include Ahmed Makarfi as Chairman and Ben Obi as Secretary.

The party on Thursday, June 9, assigned portfolios to the seven-member National Caretaker Committee at the first meeting of the staff at the national secretariat and the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI).

According to a statement signed by head of publicity, Chinwe Nnorom, the portfolios assigned include Ahmed Makarfi as Chairman and Ben Obi as Secretary.

Former senator, Abdul Ningi, will be in charge of Organisation and Mobilisation; Odion Ogbesia, Finance, Treasury and Audit and Kabir Usman, would oversee the legal unit; while Aisha Aliyu is in charge of Women and Youth.

Pulse recalls that the committee was constituted at the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 21, this year.
