Party chieftain assassinated in Kogi

Sun Newspapers reports that Chief Jeremiah Abu was trailed and shot severally, by his assailants, and left to bleed to death.

 

Reports just in say a prominent leader of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Kogi state, was assassinated yesterday night.

This is coming ahead of the Kogi State governorship election slated for November 21, 2015.

Sun Newspapers reports that Chief Jeremiah Abu was trailed and shot severally, by his assailants, and left to bleed to death.

Members of the PDP in the state are pointing accusing fingers at the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

The youth leader of the PDP in the state, Mr. Stephen Onaji, also asked the police to investigate the murder, and bring the culprits to book.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Police Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu has warned politicians to stop using thugs to settle scores.
