Obaseki is "ready to hit the ground running,'' Oshiomhole says
He noted that with the conclusion of the primaries a new phase that would define the future has commenced.

Oshiomhole also described the primaries , which was held on Saturday, June 18, in Benin city, as the best organised by the party.
He noted that the process was transparent, while the delegates were well behaved and called for unity among party members.
He said that all the aspirants belong to one family and need to work together to ensure victory at the polls.
In his acceptance remark, Obaseki appealed to other contestants to join him in ensuring victory for the party in the September 10 governorship election.
Obaseki, who polled 1,618 votes to defeat 11 other contestants, said his victory is a collective one which requires cooperation of all to succeed.
He described other aspirants as accomplished people and urged them to continue to work for the party to ensure its success in the governorship election.
