“God is Smarter than Smart Adeyemi,” Senator celebrates Appeal Court decision

Senator Dino Melaye has expressed his delight at today’s Court of Appeal ruling which upheld his victory in the March 28, 2015 elections.

Senator Dino Melaye has expressed his delight at today’s Court of Appeal ruling which upheld his victory in the March 28, 2015 elections.

Melaye announced the news via Twitter saying “God is Smarter than Smart Adeyemi”.

The petition against the Kogi State Senator's victory was filed by his opponent, Smart Adeyemi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Melaye wrote:

“To God be the glory. Court of Appeal Tribunal sitting in Abuja dismissed the appeal of sen Smart Adeyemi against Sen. Dino Melaye. God is Smarter than Smart Adeyemi.”

“To God be the glory. God is Smarter than Smart Adeyemi. Court if Appeal sitting in Abuja dismissed Appeal against me. The people have won.”

“I thank God. I won the Appeal filed by Smart Adeyemi. No where to go again. God Don win.”

The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal had also ruled in the Senator’s favour in October.

Melaye was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election.
