President meets Tinubu, Akande again

This is the second meeting the president is having with both top party chieftains in a matter of weeks.

In a tweet posted by the president's Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on his official account , he revealed that themeeting is taking place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He tweeted, "President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a meeting with National Leader of the All Progressives' Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chief Bisi Akande at the Presidential Villa, Abuja."

The president had previously met with the two top party chieftains as well as some of the party's other chieftains on January 23.

Tinubu to lead APC reconciliation

On February 6, the president directed Tinubu to lead a reconciliation process to resolve disagreements among party members.

According to the president's spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Tinubu will lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence building efforts in the party that will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.
