Court orders ex-militant’s arrest over N13bn fraud

Tompolo is wanted in connection with investigations into massive fraud involving land contracts for the construction of a Nigerian Maritime University (NMU).

According to reports, the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the arrest of former militant, Government ‘Tompolo” Ekpemupolo over allegations of fraud to the tune of N13 billion.

According to Sahara Reporters, Tompolo is wanted in connection with investigations into massive fraud involving land contracts for the construction of a Nigerian Maritime University (NMU).

The ex-militant had been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning on the issue but he refused to honour the invitation.

The agency has frozen some of Tompolo’s bank accounts and those of two companies linked to him named Mieka Divers Ltd and Global West Vessel Specialists Nigeria Ltd.
