Senate President, Bukola Saraki is set to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) today, October 21, 2015.

Saraki’s trial at the tribunal is based on a 13-count charge of asset declaration fraud brought against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in September.

Saraki’s trial at the tribunal is based on a 13-count charge of asset declaration fraud brought against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in September.
The charges against him include anticipatory declaration of assets and failure to declare assets acquired while he was the governor of Kwara State among others.
Saraki approached the Court of Appeal in Abuja to halt the trial but the case was adjourned indefinitely on October 19.
Meanwhile, the Senate has suspended the ongoing ministerial screening to tomorrow, October 22.
