Nigerians have risen to the defence of Senate President, Bukola Saraki after he was alleged not to be a citizen of Nigeria and also accused of petty theft.

The allegations were made on Sunday, June 28, 2015, by controversial online news platform, Sahara Reporters via Facebook and are backed with supposed photo evidence.

Nigerians have however criticized the online platform and reiterated their support for Saraki despite the claims which many believe are part of attempts to attack the Senate President due to his falling out with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
