Osinbajo made the comment on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, during the ongoing 21st National Economic Summit in Abuja.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has said that the government will not spare any person found wanting in its anti-corruption drive.

“If we pick up somebody here and want to try him, I know how many calls I will get from people in this room,” Osinbajo said.

“I’ve had the experience in public service and I don’t mind being the tough guy. I’ve sacked people that needed to be sacked. So there are no sacred cows, the rules will be applied anyway,” he added.

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to end the plague of corruption in Nigeria and is expected to head the country’s oil sector in a bid to achieve this aim.
