Agency arrests 2 suspected oil pipeline vandals in Delta

She said that the arrest was part of the activities of the command to put a stop to oil pipeline vandalism and to serve as a deterrent to other pipeline vandals in the state.

NSCDC arrests 2 suspected oil pipeline vandals in Delta

The Delta Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspected oil pipeline vandals in Delta.

Mrs Beatrice Irabor, the State Command, disclosed this at a news conference on Friday in Asaba. Beatrice said that the two suspects, Mr Azubuike Ozegbe and Mr Alfred Ekwo were arrested in Agwe-Ekiti in kwale by the NSCDC officers on patrol.

Irabor said that the suspects opened fire on the officers and in the process two of the uspects sustained gun injuries.She said that three other suspects escaped through the waterways.Irabor said that the suspects had in their possession a generating set, one shovel, one mallet, drilling machine and a pipe rage.
