Civil Defence Corps launches manhunt for militants

This is coming after the Niger Delta Avengers  blew up the Brass to Tebidaba Crude oil line in Bayelsa state on Thursday, June 2, 2016.

The NSCDC Bayelsa commander, Desmond Agu also revealed that his men have been deployed to the creeks.

Agu also said “The pipelines located within Agip’s oilfields were attacked. We got the reports that the pipelines were attacked when they had been shut down, so there is no loss of crude or leaks.

“We have dispatched our men and we have intensified patrols in the area. We are working round the clock to protect critical infrastructure in Bayelsa.”

The Bayelsa State government has urged the Niger Delta militants to stop attacking oil installations in the region.
