Result of structural stability test ready

Mr. Rasheed Balogun, who is the Acting General Manager of Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) said the tests have been completed.

 

Vanguard reports that Mr. Rasheed Balogun, who is the Acting General Manager of Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) said the tests have been completed.

This is following the instruction issued by the Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode on March 15, 2016 for a test to be carried out.

On Tuesday, March 6, 2016, a five-storey building undergoing construction in Lekki Gardens collapsed, leaving 25 people dead.

Ambode immediately ordered that the construction site be sealed off, and other defective buildings in the estate be demolished.

Also, Taiwo Odofin, the contractor of the project was granted bail in the like sum of N10 million with two sureties in like sum.
