Nigerians react to arrest of Buhari’s associate by EFCC

Isa has been accused of collecting $5 million from former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki who’s being tried for supervising the laundering of $2.1 billion meant for the procurement of arms for Nigeria’s military.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrestedJafaru Isa, a political associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, in connection with the ongoing arms deal fraud probe.

Isa, a former military governor of Kaduna State and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was arrested on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, in Abuja.

He has been accused of collecting $5 million from former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki who’s being tried for supervising the laundering of $2.1 billion meant for the procurement of arms for Nigeria’s military.
