Explosion rocks NNPC filling station

Two cars were said to have been burnt beyond recognition but no lives were reported lost as at press time.

According to Punch, the explosion occurred around 8pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016.

Two of the cars on the queue for fuel were said to have been burnt beyond recognition, but no lives were reported lost as at press time.

An eyewitness said that efforts by fire fighters to arrest the situation was unsuccessful, as the fire was still raging as at the time of filing this report.

The cause of the fire has not been ascertained.

Eyewitnesses said the fire was amplified by the the petroleum products contained in underground tank of the filling station.
